SAA’s Terms and Conditions for the e-Learning Platform
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of SAA’s e-Learning Platform by students and lecturers. By accessing or using the platform, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.
2. Eligibility
- Students: Must be enrolled at a recognized university or institution affiliated with SAA.
- Lecturers: Must be authorized by SAA or partner universities to deliver courses and training.
- Users must provide accurate registration details and maintain the confidentiality of their login credentials.
3. User Responsibilities
For Students
- Attend courses, complete assignments, and participate in assessments honestly.
- Respect intellectual property rights of lecturers and the platform.
- Avoid plagiarism, cheating, or misuse of academic resources.
- Use the platform only for educational purposes.
For Lecturers
- Deliver course content professionally and in accordance with academic standards.
- Ensure materials uploaded are original or properly licensed.
- Respect student privacy and confidentiality.
- Use the platform only for teaching and academic purposes.
4. Platform Usage Rules
- Users must not upload, share, or distribute harmful, offensive, or illegal content.
- Unauthorized access, hacking, or misuse of the system is strictly prohibited.
- Communication within the platform must remain respectful and professional.
- The platform may monitor usage to ensure compliance with these Terms.
5. Intellectual Property
- All course materials, lectures, and resources provided on the platform are the property of SAA or the respective lecturers.
- Students may use materials only for personal academic purposes and may not reproduce, distribute, or sell them.
- Lecturers grant SAA a license to host and share their teaching materials with enrolled students.
6. Data Privacy
- Personal and academic data will be collected and processed in accordance with SAA’s Privacy Policy.
- Users must consent to the collection of necessary data for academic and administrative purposes.
7. Assessment and Certification
- Students must comply with assessment rules set by lecturers and SAA.
- Certificates or grades issued through the platform are subject to verification by SAA and partner universities.

9. Limitation and Liability
- SAA is not responsible for technical issues, downtime, or data loss beyond its reasonable control.
- The platform is provided “as is” without warranties of uninterrupted service.
10. Amendments
SAA may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes indicates acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ethiopia. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Addis Ababa.
