INTRODUCTION TO SUPERVISED ENTERPRISE PROJECT (SEP I)

A supervised enterprise project (SEP), also known as a supervised experiential learning project (SELP), consists of all the practical agricultural activities of educational value conducted by students outside class for which systematic instruction and supervision are provided by their lecturers, employers, and others. It is a learning experience. In these notes, SEP also stands for ‘supervised extension and learning project,’ as this reflects more accurately the nature of our SEPs. In our context, the projects tend to be of an extension nature.
